Aerodactyl, the Fossil Pokémon

“Believed to be the ‘king of the skies’ back in the time they were alive, Aerodactyl is a powerful ancient species of Pokémon. Like Omanyte and Kabuto, they were first revived into the modern day through genetic code preserved in amber, and like the other two they broke out from captivity shortly after their revival to retake mountainous regions as their king species. Aerodactyl are far more vicious than the other fossil Pokémon though, keen to attack first and tear through prey with their saw-like teeth, so restoration of this species has been permanently banned by the governing bodies within each region with the technology to revive fossilized Pokémon. Combatting the return of Aerodactyl to the wild is also being handled by approved League officials in the regions where they have been released or escaped.”

“These are also not the true form of Aerodactyl revived to perfect accuracy. Thanks to Mega Evolution in the hands of trusted trainers, we can witness a form of Aerodactyl whose dormant genetic code is awakened and covers their external skin in a multitude of sharp rocks.
