Carrying a Big Stick

I carry a big stick on my shoulder
Swinging my voice back and forth
Toppling trees of men

That’s what they get, walking on stilts
Crushing egg shells with high-held heads
Just one good whack to the knee
Crashing back down to reality

I carry a bigger stick under my arm
Beneath my coat like a secret against my chest
Like it isn’t poking out beneath the hem
Made to strike deeper than skin
Because nothing bruises faster than pride
From the blow of six million pages rolled into a single stick

Nothing’s gonna S.A.V.E. them now

Farfetch’d, the Wild Duck Pokémon

hand-drawn artwork

Where green onions grow, Farfetch’d can be found. These Pokémon carry thick green onion sticks wherever they go, using them as food for survival or, more commonly, a weapon in combat. Farfetch’d wield their sticks like katanas, slashing and slicing their enemies with ferocity. If they lose their stalk in battle or eat it all to survive, they will rush only to find a new stick to carry before they do anything else; though, quite often, Farfetch’d would rather risk their lives to protect their sticks from being broken or stolen. This is why the population of the Wild Duck Pokémon is so low, no matter how often wildlife preservationists breed and release new Farfetch’d into the wild.
Interestingly, there is a variant species of the Farfetch’d in the region of Galar, though their population numbers are also quite low. This Fighting-type Farfetch’d carry even tougher, larger sticks than their Normal-and-Flying-type counterpart, training rigorously with them to perfect their swordsman ship. And unlike their variant, these Farfetch’d are capable of achieving evolution after mastering their green onion blades in back-to-back battles, becoming the bigger and more powerful Sirfetch’d.
