Kangaskhan, the Parent Pokémon
“Kangaskhan are instinctively motherly Pokémon. The adults of this species value their children more than anything, even their own life. They keep their young secured in the pouch on their bellies for the first three years after they’re born, only allowing them to come out to let their children play and learn to walk on their own. If any human or Pokémon were to get too close to the children in these moments, the mother would fall into a fit of rage and fight them off to protect their child. In a fight with even more powerful creatures than it, Kangaskhan will stake their lives to keep their offspring safe, and they will not stop fighting until they are sure of such.”
“The hardest thing a Kangaskhan can do is say goodbye to its child. A day comes for all growing Kangaskhan that they will be too old to live in their mother’s pouch, and it will be expected of them to journey out into the world and find a family of their own. As childless Kangaskhan are a rare sight in the wild, it is believed they look for a child to take care once their own has finally grown up, be it by mothering orphaned and lost Pokémon or by finding a mate in which to have another child to care for. It is uncertain how long a Kangaskhan can live on their own without a child.”
