Life of a Sand Bubbler
I wonder what it would be like,
to be so small in the sand,
near invisible among the shore.How much larger than me the world would be,
threateningly large;
and I, in fear of giants, would burrow and hide
when waves roll in;
and I, living in my own little bubble,
wait out the storm.I would live off the grains of my home,
parsing through it for food,
or living off the scraps I could get,
and spew out what remains of the earth I consumed.
I could spread it around like art,
models of the planet,
scattered around for all to find and see;
marvel at what I’ve made.
But the large scary world would wash it away,
tear it apart and bury it with the rest of the world,
leaving me to start again.

An endless cycle, coming out of my home,
trying to live off the world,
as the world tries to kill me.I guess it wouldn’t be all that different.
I wonder if that worries the crab.
Krabby, the River Crab Pokémon

“Krabby live along beaches or really any sandy shore in which they can make their home. Though often found in large quantities near each other, these Pokémon tend to live more isolated lives even from their own families, if they are still around. Krabby only dig holes in the sand to fit themselves; food and territory is fought over for control and keep; and many Krabby clash and dispute with one another by bashing their heads together until one gives. If any are to face starvation in this might-make-right world, they can swallow mouthfuls of sand to absorb the nutrients from and spit out what remains, while still on the hunt for a better source of food.”
“The Krabby’s standout biological trait are their pincers, and pair of which they hoist proudly above their heads. It is believed the weight of these on either side of their body force the Krabby to walk sideways at all times; the trade-off of this is the incredible power and force the Pokémon can use them with, cutting through or keeping hold with a strong grip and crushing strength. They are also quite frail, as Krabby can lose their pincers in battle or in extraneous use, but they just as easily can grow a replacement within a few days and be back to normal in no time.”
