Why wouldn’t the monkey be angry?
When the trees of its home are chopped down?
When the fruits it plucks are stolen?
When the neighbors of its family were captured?Howlers cry in the night
And bring their volume to protest
Woolly spiders close their doors
Protect their fellow ape from prosecution
Sakis keep their doors open
Allow sanctuary for all that beg
Marmosets and mademoiselles stand their ground
Defend their children and those in the neighborhoodWhy wouldn’t the monkey be angry?
When the forest is stomped to cinders?
When they are hunted to no end?
When the poachers think themselves superior?
Mankey. The Pig Monkey Pokémon
“Mankey are a violent species we struggle to understand. Because of their short temper, almost anything can set a Mankey into a violent rage, unable to distinguish friend from foe and only to be stopped by a force even greater than them or eventual exhaustion. If not stopped by the intervention of a more powerful opponent, the anger that fueled them while awake goes on to induce a dream that only angers a Mankey even more in their sleep, so when they awake they will be angry all over again, On their own, a single Mankey can prove troublesome to handle; but Mankey are rarely ever on their own, living in packs of dozens of their kind. When one is angry, the pack is angry. It is advised to avoid packs of this Pokémon at all cost if you are not an experienced enough trainer or traveling in a sizable party of your own.”
“This attitude of anger gives the Mankey and its evolutionary line a paradox of sorts. As their next stage as a Primeape, we know the evolved Pokémon to be susceptible to its own rage, that if it were to go on for too long it could lead to a premature death; in some cases, this will then lead the Primeape to evolve into the more powerful Annihilape. But for the Mankey, the species this line spends the majority of its living years as, their anger is not a danger to themselves. Because they do not bottle up their emotions and constantly release their stress in their bouts of rage, Mankey are actually quite healthy of a species and can live longer lives in an unevolved state more than most Pokémon. It is currently unknown if the catching and training of the species is the cause of this paradox, as mankind attempts to control the behaviors of their Pokémon to be safe towards those around them, which is against the nature of this Pokémon’s evolution.”
