The Horse with the Diamond Hooves
A horse strides into town,
Golden mane flowing in the wind,
Copper hide glistening in the daylight,
Diamond hooves clicked on cement.
“I am the greatest stallion in the world,” he declares.
“I can leap anything in a single bound.
If you do not believe I can,
You will pay me in hay.”So the mayor approaches first and boasts,
“You couldn’t leap over City Hall.”
With a run down I Street,
The stallion clears the government building with a single leap,
And in his landing tramples through beds of flowers.
He gallops up to the mayor and demands,
“Now you will pay me in hay.”So a beggar approaches and taunts,
“You couldn’t leap over the moon.”
With a run down Main,
The stallion clear over Luna with a single leap,
And in his landing topples a neighborhood.
He gallops up to the beggar and demands,
“Now you will pay me in hay.”So a child, stars in her eyes, ran up to the stallion and begs,
“Could you jump over the sun too?”
With a run down the freeway,
The stallion clears Sol in a single leap,
Solar flares licking his diamond hooves,
Setting fire to his muscles and mane.
In his landing, he rockets back into the city, clearing it from the map.
He gallops up to the little girl, her charred body in the dirt, and demands,
“Now pay me in hay.”
Ponyta, the Fire Horse Pokémon and the Unique Horn Pokémon
