Traveling Holiday
I like the frigid cold
Being buried deep beneath the snow
Ball it up into segmented men
To greet the season rolling into townSitting on the bank, I feel flakes tickle my skin
The cloud gushes glitter off the palm of her hand
Showering me in a cascade of fragile diamonds
Like kisses on my noseWinter comes and goes
Snow falls and blows
It will be months before I can see her again
So until then, I’ll take care of the peace-offered rose
Seel, the Sea Lion Pokémon

“Thanks to a protective layer of fur over their bodies, Seel live happy lives in the coldest of waters. Herds of this Pokémon can be found living atop icebergs, swimming in oceans forty degrees below zero, and resting on the seabeds of shallow waters. Distinguishable by their creamy white fur, Seel are protected by the dangers of the cold, be it while it swims or as it relaxes. Warm waters are this Pokémon’s natural enemy, weakening their energy and vitality the longer they spend immersed in them. It is very rare to spot wild Seel and their evolution Dewgong outside of colder climates for this very reason, the region of Alola being the greatest exception marine biologists have yet to explain.”
“Also notable to all Seel is the horn atop their heads, the same color as their fur and standing no taller than a few inches off their domes. Seel use their horns to pierce through their prey Shellder with ease, chasing the fellow sea critter beneath the ice caps. They can also use their horns to chip through the ice, creating pockets inside icebergs or breaking the layers above the water for a chance to breathe air in between their hunts.”
