Tauros, the Wild Bull Pokémon
“Tarous can be quite aggressive in the wild. They enjoy and invite challenges with others in their herd and other Pokémon, competing in contests of strength. Not only do they prove their worth in battle, they prove a history of might by honoring those with the most battle-scarred horns among them with the title of leader. Domestication of Tauros can be quite troublesome, as they have evolved their tails into three parts that whip against their hide reflexively to surge forward in an instant. The only region to manage local domestication is Alola, where the colder weather on the Ula’Ula and Poni Islands help calm down the Pokémon naturally for farmers and caretakers to better manage them. There, Tauros are bred, trained and commissioned to trainers for clearing debris and unsafe mountainsides for the locals of each island.”
“Though Meowth have three variant species around the globe, Tauros holds the record for the most diverse singular species in any region. The Tauros in Paldea are the stronger side of the species, though less violent as a wild animal compared to the Normal-type Tauros. These black hide, Fighting-type variants come in three breeds; the Combat Breed, a mono Fighting type distinguished by its larger muscles and skill in close-quarters combat; the Blaze Breed, a dual Fighting-and-Fire type with red tuffs of hair in the upper parts of its mane and horns that can burn hotter than eighteen-hundred degrees fahrenheit; and the Aqua Breed, a dual Fighting-and-Water type with blue tuffs in the bottom parts of its mane and a higher body fat than its compatriots which allow it to swim far more easily than the others. The Combat Breed is the most common of them to be found in the wild, as the Blaze and Aqua Breed seem to be part of a recessive gene pool that the professors in the region fear may dwindle even further in their population density in years to come.”
