I speak every night,
Unsure if you can hear.

Venonat, the Insect Pokémon
“Venonat are predators by nature. Sleeping the day away in hollowed-out trees, they use the circumstances of the night to hunt. Their radar-like eyes are made up of collections of smaller eyes; capable of seeing in the darkness as though it were daylight; can track even miniscule creatures from long distances; and thanks to their size can scare off other predator Pokémon. While strong light sources can distract Venonat, triggering an instinctual fascination for light, they also use these sources to draw in other Bug Pokémon as they lay in wait.”
“Venonat are also very capable battlers. Their thin but stiff coat of purple hair around their body serves as a sturdy barrier between their bodies and the attacks they take, able to eat some damage from even super-effective attacks. Their eyes, on top of having excellent sight, can also fire powerful beams of kinetic Psychic energy, slamming into their opponents like a wall. Though they aren’t all that strong outright, Venonat make up for this with their speed and stealth, maneuvering the night and the shadows they can see through against their less capable opponents.”
